Resident Evil 6 is out today on Steam and all I can say is, hey, points for trying. If you want to play this game, doing so on PC is by all accounts the way to go. Following up on its announcement of a crossover with Left 4 Dead 2 and Valve, Capcom has shared a video of what happens when the two franchises collide. It's every bit as weird as I expected, but that's far from a bad thing.

This footage shows off Coach, Nick, Ellis, and Rochelle in the new The Mercenaries: No Mercy mode as well as The Witch and Mini-Tanks that help add to the already chaotic on-screen action. This content will come by way of a free update on April 5, 2013.

The best part of this arrangement is that with the arrival of Coach in RE6, we're one step closer to having Uncle Phil in a Resident Evil game. Do me proud, modders. [SOURCE]

Capcom and Valve are pleased to announce the Resident Evil® 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project.

This crossover project between two of the interactive entertainment industry’s most respected publishers will see characters from Left 4 Dead™ 2 featured exclusively in the forthcoming PC version of Resident Evil® 6, while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. All content will be made available completely free for fans of either game to access and play.

Owners of Resident Evil 6 PC will be able to select one of four survivors from Left 4 Dead 2’s iconic cast – Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle – when playing PC exclusive mode, The Mercenaries No Mercy. Each character will have a special customized weapon load-out created just for use in Resident Evil 6. In addition to the four survivors, two of the infamous Special Infected zombies from the Left 4 Dead franchise – the Witch and Mini Tank – will also make a cameo appearance in this mode, relentlessly attacking players regardless of whether a character from Left 4 Dead 2 or Resident Evil 6 is chosen. This new and exclusive content will automatically be downloaded in the background to all owners of the PC version of Resident Evil 6 from April 5.

Welcome to rochelle_fans a character community dedicated to Rochelle, the unappreciated heroine of Valve's Left 4 Dead 2. Why, you ask? Well, simply because, out of all the playable characters, Rochelle is one of my favorites and it puzzles me as to why she is unjustly ragged upon in the realms of L4D fandom, so I made this in dedication of my admiration of Miss Rochelle. Please, don't just lurk about these lonely halls, but feel free to post any information, graphics or fanfiction regarding the character here. The more participants there are, the quicker this community can become a thriving place for discussion and Rochelle-love.

Rochelle Hatred has now reached Meme Levels

JUSTIFICATION FOR ROCHELLE HATE has always been slim to none, but to know its reached "Meme" levels is just astounding. Below is an article from Know Your Meme.com that shows examples of the viral hatred of Rochelle:

In 2010, Valve released a sequel to its zombie survival multiplayer horror hit. Instead of featuring the old characters of Bill, Francis, Louis and Zoë; New characters by the names of Coach, Ellis, Nick and Rochelle were added to the game, with the original characters either making small cameos and appearing in the DLC, the sacrifice for the second game.

The new characters were reluctantly accepted, and Valve once again received praise for creating a new hit, with new infected and the new characters were ok with fans. After a while, the characters grew to have their own memes, such as chocolate helicopter, and they changed old memes, such as "grabbin’ pills". However, the character Rochelle was not met with such praise as the other remaining three. Many saw her as the Scrappy Doo of the game, a character that could easily be replaced by someone more fitting for the job. Soon, many mods were created for Zoë to be replace Rochelle in the game.

Soon, many Garry’s Mod videos parodied the idea of Rochelle being hated by all her companions, and often being team killed, or having an explanation for why everyone hates Rochelle in the first place, as no real reason is ever truly given.

But why does everyone hate Rochelle in the first place? As previously mentioned, no REAL reason has ever actually been given , but a few common ones have been potrayed frequently, such as:

1. Her dialogue being terrible
2. A love of Zoey from the original L4D
3. Racism & Sexism
4. Bad modelling

Above all, there may never be a reason for this hate , but one things for sure , it most likely will never go away. Sorry Rochelle, no questions being Axed here.[SOURCE]
